How to make a lipstick modelling with 3d max 2011 ??



1. Open your 3d max software, and go to geometry and click Box button.



2. to edit the box you have created, go to modify and insert the value of Length is 175.0, Width is 175.0, and Height is 600.0.



3. right click to the box and convert to Editable Poly.


4. Click edge button.


5. Did you know to make object could be transparent ? just hit the F3/F4 on your keyboard and select any edges like at the picture and click connect.


6. click the Polygon icon and select any polygons like at the picture and click Detach button and click ok and move it.



7.look at the picture carefully and click border icon then click into the border of the box that we have detached and then click cap button.


8. copy the object that we have created by pressing shift button on your keyboard and move it by using Move and Selection tools and then a new window will appear, that is Clone Options and click Ok.



9. convert it to the Editable Poly and i am sure that you can stack the box like at the picture. I suggest you to edit it from the top viewport.



10. and then copy it again like the step I have shown to you before.


11. Move the vertex carefully like at the picture. make sure that the vertex you want to move should be like a lipstick. I mean the Proportion.


12. select the edges like at the picture and click connect.



13. i want to make you simple with this modelling, if you want to make the lid of the lipstick, just copy the box that you have created.


14. in this modelling I want to make with low polygon but the final result like be a modelling with high polygon. How to make this ? look at carefully to the picture, select the edges and click connect, move the edge like the left position of the picture.



15. the next trick is a TurboSmooth from the modifier list.



16. Insert the value of iterations is 2.



17. Go to modifier again, and choose Shell, then insert the value of Inner Amount is 2.0 and insert the value of Outer Amount is 3.0, and then choose TurboSmooth again and insert the value of Iterations is 2.

If you are running in the low version of 3d max 2011, you can not to open the file.
