How to Make a Chrome with 3dMax??





1. Open your 3dmax program, but here I used 3dmax 2010 version, select geometry and click plane.



2. To make it easy, you can create a plane from top.



3. Set the value of the plane like at the picture.



4. okay, next select modify and click bend.



5. insert the value of Angle, Upper Limit and bend axis like at the picture.



6. and you will see a change of the plane, then insert the value of upper limit again.



7. to rotate the plane, you can use select and rotate, like at the picture.



8. I recommend you to follow which I have made, like at the picture.



9. Select modify, click Plane, and you should widen the plane object by increase the value of width, like at the picture.




10. and now, click Material or you can use the shortcut by pressing the button "M" on your keyboard, Click Assign Material to Selection.



11. next go to geometry and choose Extended Primitives.



12. Click Torus Knot.



13. to make you easy, you should make it from the Top, and go to modify and insert the value of Torus Knot like at the picture.



14. to rotate the Torus Knot, Use select and rotate. and make it as possible you want.



15. go to geometry and choose Standard Primitives.



16. Select Shapes and Click Text.



17. I type the text is CHROME, and click it to the Front view port.



18. Select Modify and choose Bavel.



19. to change the position of the text, use Select and Move, select and rotate. and make it as possible you want.



20. and now, click Material or you can use the shortcut by pressing the button "M" on your keyboard.



21. And click the second circle.



22. Click Maps.



23. On the Reflection, click None button and click Reytrace.



24. Click None button and select Bitmap.



25. Choose the image you have and click Ok, Click Assign Material to Selection



26. find the Blinn Basic Parameters, Click Ambient and choose the dark color like at the picture, click Ok, and drag the circle to the text object.



27. and now we will make a Material for the Torus Knot. Click Material or you can use the shortcut by pressing the button "M" on your keyboard, Click to the thirdly circle, like at the picture.



28. Click Maps, On the Reflection, click None button and click Reytrace.



29. Click None button and select Bitmap.



30. Choose the image you have and click Ok, Click Assign Material to Selection.



31. Okay to render our project, we should create a light. Select Geometry, Choose Lights and Click Skylight, like at the picture.



32. Click to the left view port to show the skylight and use select and rotate to edit the position of it.
